I love that story. What a wonderful memory. It turned out to be a blessing that the electricity was off. Otherwise you would have heard the about the tornado coming your way on the news and been really scared. What seemed to be a hardship turned out to be a blessing. Isn't that the way that things often turn out? We just have to trust in the Lord and lean not onto our own understanding.

I agree whole heartedly with you on this subject Marie.Though it is not always easy to get ones family to think on the same lines today.As Ma says as they move on and you do not see them as much, it often proves difficult for some people.We.. The Rooster and I always put aside everything most Saturdays and spend time together doing the things we love most.This is Our day and Our Time.Loved your story,and my sister and I had a similar thing happen to us, when we were at home with our Parents.Have a lovely eveningMarie regarsds to Todd an hugs to mitzy.Take Care God Bless Kath xx

We always had family time every week when the children were young. Playing games together, picnicking or hiking through the woods, whatever the weather allowed one day was set aside for family. As they got older and went away I did miss those together times. Lovely memories you had of the storm. I do agree Ignorance is often bliss. Hope your Wednesday is a wonderful one.

Lovely memories Marie. I can just picture you and your children snuggled down in the candlelight. Family time is so important. Two of my daughters and their families and Ralph and I decided on Boxing Day we need to spend more time together as family. So we are going to be having Family Nights every six weeks when we all get together for a meal and play games. Family is the jewel in the crown of life.

What a lovely memory Marie.Often in that time between awake and asleep at night I find myself remembering things that happened long ago usually with a smile on my face at the thoughts.....
Looing a bit brighter this morning change from the rain we had yesterday. Might even go into Bath today we were going Friday but if it keeps nice ....well I will see what Mary says when she comes over any min now....Havn't actually had a wander round town for ages...
