Over the years of being an expat I have had to evolve so many times thanks to my husbands gypsy wonderlust and each time its been a little scary...but on reflection I've grown. I've learned new skills, made new homes, new interests, new work, new friends and developed way beyond my confort zone. As the saying goes 'feel the fear but do it anyway'...that worked. I've done things I never would have had the courage to do and I hope I've passed this on to my children.
I love the title 'Bloom where you are planted'...I'll keep that in mind and use it...

I'm off to buy a chicken :D

Great thoughts today, Marie... I use to let little fears keep me down. Over the years I've learn--or hope I have!--the value of change. Thant change, or an end, can really be a beginning, a new opportunity for something better. I don't want to be trapped in fear anymore. :o) Wonderful chicken pie recipe today... yum! I was online a few hour yesterday hoping to catch you for a chat via Skype but didn't see you... Hope so for another time. Wishing you, Todd & Mitzie a lovely weekend ahead. Stopping by here early, as TJ & I will be having our date day/night tomorrow. That quote is something I try to live by. I remember when all the children left home I was feeling really useless after all the years of taking care of a large family and that is when I started blooming where I was planted. The message came through loud and clear that since I had a computer and the knowledge to use one well that I should start my daily newsletter to family and friends, then started posting it on AOL journals then moved to blogger when that closed down. So in my own little way I do have a purpose each day...different yes, but I found a little nook to fill in the emptiness. I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!
